Asheville Fine Art Printing (AFAP) was established in 2014 by Joshua Niven, a local artist and printing expert. AFAP proudly services Western North Carolina & beyond by specializing in Ink Jet printing on traditional and alternative substrates.

Joshua Niven

Printer, Photographer, and Reproduction Specialist

Joshua was born in Germany and raised in the hills surrounding Charlotte, North Carolina. He graduated from the Savannah College of Art and Design with a degree in photography in 2012. A year later, he completed the entire Appalachian Trail on foot and self-published a photography book with over 150 images that he made during his thru-hike. In addition to operating Asheville Fine Art Printing, Joshua enjoys making his own art and spending time with the family on their homestead in Madison County, North Carolina. He and his wife, Amber, published Discovering the Appalachian Trail: A guied to the Trail's Greatest Hikes in June of 2022.

Amber works behind the scenes to make sure AFAP is running smoothly. She manages marketing efforts and is passionate about supporting our artists through cross promotions and events. Born and raised in the Smoky Mountains, Amber shares a passion of the great outdoors with Joshua. Together, they hike, swim in the rivers and camp whenever possible.
